Doctors Medical Center Names Johann Ramirez Chief Strategy Officer

Johann Ramirez has been appointed as Chief Strategy Officer of Doctors Medical Center and Central Valley Doctors Health System, effective August 14, 2023.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Ramirez will focus on the growth and development of our network of services to ensure we are meeting the needs of the communities we serve and providing convenient access to high-quality care close to home.

Ramirez joins us with diverse healthcare leadership experience, most recently at Adventist Health North Coast Network in Ukiah, California, where he served as Administrative Director of Strategy & Business Development. In this role, he served as an executive leader for strategy, business development, marketing and communications for four hospitals and clinics in Butte, Lake, Mendocino, and Tehama Counties. Before Adventist Health, he served in finance for Asante Physician Partners in Medford, Oregon, and value analysis for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Ramirez earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from La Sierra University in Riverside, California, and his MBA degree in Healthcare Administration from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
