Dr-James-MacMillan-250-x-300

One of the longtime cardiothoracic surgeons at Doctors Medical Center is retiring. James MacMillan, M.D., has been practicing at DMC since 1978. He has played a vital role in launching and growing multiple different aspects of the hospital’s cardiovascular program over the last four decades.

Dr. MacMillan performed the hospital’s 20,000th open heart surgery in 2017 and it was his vision that brought DMC’s hybrid operating room to fruition in 2018.

Doctors Medical Center thanks Dr. MacMillan for his incredible service to the hospital, patients and community. He has touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by his colleagues.

Congratulations on your retirement, Dr. MacMillan!
