Code Sun Walk Held for Patient after Final Chemo Treatment

Jan 26, 2021

In January, Thomas Faison received his final treatment of chemotherapy through his battle with colon cancer at Doctors Medical Center.

Caregivers held a “Code Sun” celebratory walk and lined the hallways to cheer and clap as Thomas headed home following his last round of chemo.

During a “Code Sun” walk at Doctors Medical Center, the song “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles plays over the hospital speakers to let others know that we’re celebrating the discharge of a patient who has spent more than 30 days in the hospital or a patient who successfully fought through a grueling illness or treatment, like Thomas.

We wish you nothing but the best, Thomas! We were so honored to celebrate with you.
