Orthopedic Surgery Residents at Doctors Medical Center Match into Fellowships

Modesto, Calif. – The Valley Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Doctors Medical Center is proud to announce the next steps for its upcoming graduating class of 2022.

Doctors Medical Center currently has 16 orthopedic surgery residents this academic year; four of them will be graduating from the five-year program in June 2022 and then heading into fellowship programs in various specialties.

Robert Bullock, D.O., matched into the trauma fellowship at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

John Coury, D.O., matched into the orthopedic spine fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

Shayne Kelly, D.O., matched into the sports medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.

Joseph Smathers, D.O., matched into the sports medicine fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.
