We appreciate their ongoing commitment and dedication to our hospital and the communities we serve,” said Jay Krishnaswamy, CEO of Doctors Medical Center. “Volunteering at a hospital is a great way to give back to our community and be part of something special. We encourage anyone who might be interested to apply.”

Volunteers are generally placed according to need and may be moved to fill important openings. However, we try to align positions with each volunteer’s special skills and talents, when possible. They serve in many areas of the hospital including: gift shop, information desk, maternity and pre-operative care unit. Volunteers might be asked to greet patients and families, organize charts or help with many other functions around the hospital.
Volunteers must be 25 years of age or older and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Tuberculosis (TB) testing will be provided by the hospital. Volunteers typically commit to two, 3-4 hour shifts per month.
