Special Deliveries Made Daily
Having a baby is a remarkable journey. It’s also a very busy one. That’s why Doctors Medical Center provides you with what you need throughout your pregnancy, during delivery and after your pride and joy arrives. Designed for your comfort and a memorable birth experience, our 15 Labor Delivery Recovery rooms provide patients with direct access to the medical support for high-risk antepartum care, deliveries and OB surgical services.
Most importantly, you’ll receive some of the finest care from our exceptional team of doctors and nurses who are dedicated to providing a healthy, caring environment designed around the needs of our new moms and their little ones.
Providing You & Your Baby with Quality Care … and Peace of Mind
In today's world, most babies are born without difficulties. However, if a problem does arise, it is reassuring to know that Doctors Medical Center specializes in taking care of high-risk moms and babies. From advanced ultrasound equipment to help doctors evaluate pregnancy-related conditions to computerized x-ray and other diagnostic equipment from which physicians can receive results instantaneously, our patients benefit from Doctors Medical Center’s leading-edge technology.
Level III NICU
Our 45-bed licensed and certified Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed and equipped to increase successful outcomes through life-saving treatments and technologies. We even have trained “cuddlers” for babies whose mothers live far away.
Once a child graduates from Intensive Care, continuing care may be provided in the Intermediate Nursery. The High-Risk Infant Follow-up Program, overseen by a developmental specialist, provides follow-up services to many NICU patients for up to three years after leaving the hospital.
From Our Family to Yours
Doctors Medical Center employs a full complement of RNs, nurse practitioners, ultrasonographers, a dietitian, lactation specialists, social workers, respiratory therapists, and very specialized 24-hour Labor and Delivery and NICU transport teams that travel with the ambulance or helicopter to mothers and/or newborns in distress – all of whom work diligently to make sure that you and your baby are in good hands.
Rx for a Healthy Community
Modesto is our home and community involvement is a natural extension of what we do here. That’s why we offer free or low-cost public education, support and wellness programs. Our goal is to keep our neighbors healthy through information and good habits, as well as early diagnosis and treatment of disease. And when it comes to mothers and babies, we just can’t do enough. We reach out to women before and during pregnancy, and do everything we can for the moms, the babies and the families during and after birthing.
