Labor & Delivery

The primary support person may stay with the patient during labor.  Up to four visitors with passes may visit the labor patient at one time, passes may be exchanged.

The new baby's brothers and sisters may visit with a support person.  They may attend the delivery if four years old or older with a designated support person, who will leave with the child if necessary.  Sibling classes are recommended.

Surgical deliveries may have one support person in attendance during delivery, if the patient remains awake.  Visiting of the newborn after cesarean delivery will be provided for the rest of the family.

Only food for the primary support person is allowed in Labor & Delivery.

FCMC Visiting Hours

Primary banded support person
6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

New baby's brothers and sisters may visit with adult supervision
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Grandparents, family and friends (over the age of 12) may visit from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Please limit visitors to 4 or less at one time.
