The DMC-based California Neurological Sciences Center includes neurosurgeons, neurologists, and neuro radiologist.

The neurosurgeons are skilled in some of the latest techniques in medical and surgical management of severe head injuries, anterior and posterior spinal reconstruction and fusion.

The Neuro Critical Care Unit has 8 intensive care beds. The Neuro Step-Down Unit has 20 beds. The nurses on the unit are certified in Trauma Nursing Care, Pediatrics Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

The Stroke Center of Doctors Medical Center offers treatment of stroke through public education and early Emergency Department Intervention.
