MODESTO, Calif. – On Wednesday, Sept. 24, Modesto residents will have an opportunity to learn more about how robotic surgery may lead to shorter hospital stays and a quicker return to normal activity. Doctors Medical Center will be hosting a FREE seminar about the sophisticated, minimally invasive da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System from 6-8 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel, located at 1150 Ninth Street in Downtown Modesto.
Attendees will learn first hand how robotic surgery can be performed with an incision the size of a dime. The da Vinci Robotic Surgical System® at Doctors Medical Center allows surgeons to perform surgeries using smaller incisions so procedures are less invasive and may lead to better outcomes.
The free seminar will feature keynote presentations from two of our da Vinci-credentialed physicians, Urologist Dr. Robert B. Eisenberg, and Gynecology Specialist Dr. John C. Pfeffer, followed by a Q&A session with a physician panel of da Vinci-credentialed physicians.
With the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, physicians at Doctors Medical Center can perform gynecological and urology surgeries resulting in less pain, shorter recovery times and the potential for better outcomes, thus allowing patients to transition back to their everyday life more quickly and easily.
The da Vinci Robotic Surgical System puts a computer in between a surgeon’s hands and the tips of electromechanically enhanced micro instruments. During this type of surgery, the surgeon is comfortably seated at a console a few feet away from the patient while the system seamlessly translates his hand, wrist and finger movements into precise actions of the surgical instruments inside the patient. Throughout the entire process, the surgeon views an actual image of the surgical site, while operating in real-time through tiny incisions.
Those interested in attending this free seminar are encouraged to register for this event by calling 1.888.284.6641 or signing up online here.
