MODESTO, Calif. – Mallgoers will have an opportunity to test drive a real robot courtesy of Doctors Medical Center. People of all ages will be able to test their surgical skill on “Leo,” Doctors Medical Center’s sophisticated, minimally invasive da Vinci® Robotic Surgical System at the Vintage Faire Mall, located at Sisk and Dale Roads in Modesto, on Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

The public can vie for prizes including pedometers and mall gift certificates while they learn first hand how robotic surgery can be performed with an incision the size of a dime. Doctors Medical Center will also have Leo coloring sheets and crayons on-site for children to enter in its “Give Leo Color” coloring contest, where children can enter to win free movie passes good for one movie. The winning entries will also be displayed on the hospital’s Web site and throughout Doctors Medical Center during the month of August.
